was born in the eastern United States. At the age of two I contracted rheumatic fever.  Three years later my entire family moved to Mexico City solely to help me recover.  Paradoxically, in the City’s high altitude and damp climate, which couldn’t have been worse for my condition, I got better in eight months.  During my first ten years in Mexico, sometimes far in the hinterlands, I was immersed in its culture, language, and mythology, and experienced first hand the strange and mystical practices that are the essence of Mesoamerica’s spiritual traditions. It opened and changed my life forever.
I went back to the US to finish high school, then on to college where I majored in philosophy, and returned to Mexico during the summers. After graduating, I went into the Army where I spent time in Korea before going back to New York and starting a 35-year career in advertising and marketing.

married, had two children, and mid-way through the journey it all fell apart in divorce.  How can something that happens to so many people be so devastating?  The short answer is, I was disconnected from Source; I had all the wrong survival tools.  Almost immediately, with my old belief system torn away, I began to meditate, trying to find and build a new me.  I remarried and moved to a different job in a different part of the country.  But the lessons weren’t over.  In a period of eight years I lost five jobs, and ended up on an operating table with my heart cut open.  Shortly after that I returned to Mexico to touch once again the spiritual truths of my life.  Through it all, meditation and its rich and unending stream of messages have never left me.  Source becomes clearer and clearer every day.
